Ingrid Styrkestad is an Oslo based cinematographer, director and photographer working within documentary, visual art and hybrid storytelling. 

She is working with personal projects and collaborations with visual- and preforming- artists. Through initiating cross-disciplinary projects and challenging traditional storytelling methods, she seeks to offer new perspectives on contemporary issues, along with the people affected by them.

Examples of this include "Invisible," a stage production and hybrid film in collaboration with dancer Agnes Naur Kiss, Mira Beckstrøm and minor asylum seekers at Spydeberg transit reception; "Why I Dance," a hybrid dance documentary film from Rwanda, with SNIPERS- & GUARDIANS DANCE CREW, Andreas Strand Renberg and choreographer Louis Clement da Costa. AIM Collective, an interdisciplinary collaboration with dancer Alma Bø and musicians like Marianna Sangita A. Røe resulting in films and performances such as “Peel,” "Staying with the Trouble,” and "Waiting for Bongo.” As well as art films such as "Is this now? XXYX" and "TRANSITION III" by Synnøve Wetten.

Ingrid also works with an array of NGOs on documentary- and informational- films such as Doctors Without Borders, Rainforest Foundation, Red Cross, “Manifest Think Tank,” Romano Kher (Kirkens bymisjon) and others.
